SPEE3D Exhibits with K-TECH at InLex 2023

Last week, we exhibited alongside K-TECH, Korea’s largest 3D systems reseller, at InLex 2023, where we showcased our innovative, expeditionary metal AM technology, such as XSPEE3D, to the South Korean market. Our technology has been used in various field trials over the years, first pioneered by the Australian Army in 2020 and 2021, and then also trialled internationally by US and UK forces, such as the US Navy REPTX Trial, and British Army Project Convergence Trial.

INLEX KOREA serves as one of South Korea’s foremost military industry platform, aimed at promoting national industry growth and shaping requirements for future combat development. The event welcomes a variety of organizations, encompassing companies that manufacture weapons systems, power support systems (non-weapon systems), components, and equipment, as well as research institutes focused on cutting-edge technologies related to the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Our Head of Sales Australasia, Ben Hockley, and the K-TECH team were present at Booths B-10 and B-11, demonstrating how our patented cold spray technology could produce industrial-grade metal parts in just minutes, and received an incredible amount of interest throughout the event.

At InLex 2023, our Head of Sales Australasia delivered an informative, exclusive presentation to a large audience comprised of key stakeholders in South Korean industry, education, and defence. The presentation covered measuring automation in the AM industry, the application of CSAM in expeditionary defence, and the future potential of CSAM. Examples include how cold spray will be used to support the development of Subsafe materials for the US Navy, and testing whether parts can be effectively cold sprayed in freezing conditions. The engaging Q&A session that followed lasted 45 minutes.

We appreciate K-TECH’s warm welcome and support as a co-exhibitor at INLEX 2023. It was also a great pleasure to have had the opportunity to meet the wider K-TECH team and CEO & President Jong-Ha Song at their facility. We look forward to continuing to work alongside K-TECH to gear up the future adoption of cold spray additive manufacturing in South Korea.
