Reduce downtime with Cold Spray Additive

Manufacture Nickel Aluminum Bronze parts on demand—even at sea.

CSAM with Nickel Aluminum Bronze

Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing (CSAM) with Nickel Aluminum Bronze enables you to dramatically reduce the cost of spare maritime parts—and your reliance on supply chains. For the first time, you’ll be able to produce cast-equivalent metal parts on-site, on-demand.

  • Excellent wear and corrosion resistance
  • Strength (95ksi, 650MPa UTS)
  • Galvanically compatible with steel and iron

NAB applications

Our CSAM technology drives efficiency for Maritime operations with spare parts on demand, reducing wait times and the need for extensive inventories.

Bushings

Manufacturing radial load bushings on-demand enables you to avoid the downtime, costs, and risks associated with critical equipment failure. While a 12-inch diameter bar stock may be nearly impossible to source rapidly in remote locations, CSAM enables you to produce one on-site in roughly two hours—with just over 10kgs of powder.

Propeller struts

From replacing struts damaged in an incident to upgrading older engines with a larger diameter propeller shaft, propeller struts produced with Nickel Aluminum Bronze have a wide range of applications. In many cases, they increase fuel efficiency and vessel performance.

Variable pitch propellers

Used to increase efficiency and maneuverability over a broad range of operation speeds, variable pitch propellers made with Nickel Aluminum Bronze provide additional range and fuel efficiency. For defence leaders, they also deliver quitter operations that minimize risk of detection in submarine and torpedo applications.

Stronger parts. Speedier production.

Every year, the maritime industry spends billions of dollars on spare parts—and relies on slow, costly supply chains for maintenance and repair. CSAM modernizes how you approach these challenges, enabling you to produce cast-equivalent metal parts on-site.

  • Produce components equal or superior to their cast counterparts
  • Reduce time-to-part from weeks and months to hours and days
  • Ensure reliable, predictable metal properties

XSPEE3D technology

Containerized, ruggedized, and easily deployed, our expeditionary XSPEE3D printer is ideal for portside maintenance, repair, and operations.

  • Accelerate build rates up to 100/g/minute (3.5oz/minute)
  • Manufacture metal parts up to 0.9m x 0.7m/35″ x 30″ (approx.) in diameter and 40kg (88lbs)
  • Eliminate the need for extensive training
